You know how it is when you’re zipping along the highway, on an epic 2-1/2 day roadtrip and you pass something by and think to yourself, “was that what I thought it was?” I’ve learned that when that happens, you have to turn around at the next available opportunity and go back and check. Most of the time, you’ll be glad you did.
This spot was a pretty cool home at one point, on a large piece of land, with an outbuilding and a TREEHOUSE! I’ll probably never know the circumstances that led to its being abandoned, maybe someone who read this might know the history and mention it in the comments section below. All I know is that it’s a beautiful spot and needed to get a few pictures before it fell any further into ruin.
I didn’t try to go inside, but I did peek in the windows. Looks a mess. I wonder how long it’s been empty. And perhaps if it could still be saved.
